Word Of The Week – Movement

I very much enjoyed writing my post last week so here I am back again. This week’s word is

movement

There have been many movements happening in the house this week. Little H has just started to move around the floor when left to her own devices. Just this morning I watched her rock across the room to where her brother was sat with his Lego. It’s taken three babies for me to stop and appreciate the smallest of things, like my baby learning to move.

Other movements include

-Bedhopping. Everyone seems to want to sleep next to mummy at the moment which means there is a lot of movement through the night. back and forth, although I think that is just part and parcel of being a parent!

-Outdoors. With the lovely sunshine comes lots of lovely walks. We live right next to the woods it’d be a crime not to enjoy getting out and moving!

-Kitchen. I’ve been trying to find ways of getting my step count up, the kitchen is my place to get moving at the moment. While I’m preparing I like to march on the spot, the kids think I’m a little crazy but its working, so I’ll keep going.

-Toilet, hmmmmm the not so nice one, T’s had a stomach bug :/ need I say more.

  1. Sounds like the perfect word to sum up your week. It is lovely to see those first movements, though I recall wanting my son to stay still for a bit longer – he was my second so I knew how tricky it can get! I’d not thought of marching on the spot like that whilst preparing dinner, will have to give that a go! Hope T’s on the up now. Thanks for joining in again with #WotW

  2. Oh dear tummy bugs aren’t nice – hope they get better soon. Yay for the sunshine I understand trying to make the most of it while we’ve got it even if its still freezing. Your bed hopping comment had me ‘awww’ the closest I have at present is my daughter falling asleep in my arms. #wotw

  3. That’s a lot of movement – both good and not so good! Everyone wanting to sleep next to mummy is lovely and I’m sure you’re enjoying all the cuddles although I bet you wish it wasn’t happening in the middle of the night!
I hope the tummy bug disappears soon x
